The dehumidifier TTK 52 E might look inconspicuous, but will impress you with its technical equipment and easy handling straightaway.

Like almost all dehumidifiers of the HomeComfort series it comes with an automatic hygrostat-controlled dehumidification system including a compressor that switches itself off to save energy as soon as the desired humidity value has been reached. Conversely, the device is automatically activated again once the humidity value is exceeded. The desired humidity level can be set to target values of 40, 50 and 60 % RH via the LED-illuminated control panel.

Alternatively, the TTK 52 E also allows for operation in continuous mode including unattended continuous operation – for instance, to keep smaller basement rooms or holiday apartments permanently dry. For this purpose, the device is fitted with a connection for an external condensate drain.

Moreover, the overflow protection with automatic switch-off and the filling level warning light indicating that the water tank is full provide additional safety. The integrated, washable air filter guarantees a great increase in terms of hygiene as it purifies the air by extracting dust and animal hair.

Gentle laundry drying with dehumidifiers

Apart from ambient air dehumidification, a dehumidifier can be conveniently used for drying laundry – either in an assisting way or as a full replacement for a conventional dryer. The laundry drying function (also referred to as clothes drying mode or SuperDry function) is comparable to traditional air drying outside.

Dehumidifiers offer the benefit of drying the laundry as gently as in the nature outside. Colours retain their brilliance and the life span of clothes is longer than with conventional dryers – and all this with a substantially lower power consumption.

Furthermore, even sensitive materials such as wool, silk or synthetic fibres can be dried without any problems. In contrast to pure air drying, the laundry feels much softer and more pleasant on your skin.

Laundry drying can also be performed with dehumidifiers without an additional laundry drying function. The target value of the air humidity must then be set in accordance with the desired residual humidity:

Cupboard dry: 46 % of relative air humidity

Iron dry: 58 % of relative air humidity

Skin dry: 65 % of relative air humidity

Healthy feel-good climate

Using the TTK 52 E of the HomeComfort series you can ensure the optimum humidity level and a healthy feel-good climate in your own four walls throughout the year. Not only the right temperature is decisive for an ideal room climate, but also an optimum humidity level. In heated living spaces, the relative humidity level should not exceed a threshold of 60 %, whereas in bathrooms it may rise to 70 % or more.

The optimal humidity level for a healthy room climate is 50 %. Higher values promote the formation of mould and can affect human health. The mould spores spread in the room air, enter the airways and cause allergies in the worst case. Breathing additionally affects the humidity level in living spaces as moisture is continuously emitted into the room during exhaling. The more people live in a household, the faster the feel-good limit of humidity is exceeded.

The negative effects are noticeable, for instance, in the bedroom, where the 60 % threshold is often exceeded at night if the windows are closed. But it is right here that a restful room climate is particularly important. Instead, a high humidity level promotes the formation and reproduction of mites.

TTK 52 E – special equipment features:

• The control panel with its LED illumination features a clearly arranged design, is easily comprehensible and is provided with a fill level warning light.
• The easily removable air filter retains lint and animal hair and can be quickly and easily wiped or washed out. Furthermore the TTK 52 E is equipped with an integrated plug holder.
• The removable water tank has a storage capacity of 2.4 litres. The device stops automatically when the tank is full and indicates this via LED.
• In order to continuously drain the condensation water, a pipe can be connected on the rear of the device.
• The TTK 52 E is provided with an automatic hygrostat-controlled dehumidification function. The desired humidity level can be set to target values of 40, 50 and 60 % RH via the LED-illuminated control panel.
• When the desired humidity level is reached, the compressor switches off automatically. The fan keeps running while the display remains switched on. When the value is exceeded, the device is automatically activated.
• The TTK 52 E may also be used as a room air laundry dryer to dry wet laundry in living spaces or utility rooms. In this way, you speed up the drying process of the clothes and prevent the humidity contained on the clothes from condensing in the room and from becoming a hotbed for mould.
• In the permanent mode, the TTK 52 E dehumidifies the room air in continuous operation. This is especially suitable for cellar or storage spaces which are subjected to mould formation by excess humidity. To avoid that you constantly have to drain the water tank, a condensate drain hose can be connected.
• Whether you use it at home, in the office or in the bedroom – the dehumidifier TTK 52 E is a very compact and light device in its performance class. The easily accessible air filter is easy to clean and filters animal hair, fluff, lint, dust as well as preventing bacterial growth.
• The device is equipped with a convenient foldable transport handle. This and the plug holder on the rear of the TTK 52 E enable a particularly simple and comfortable change of location.
